Just a Minute

Be a Community Champion

We want everyone to be able to discover their heritage at our archive, however, they need to know about us first! People are more likely to visit us if they have heard through word of mouth and you can help us spread the word.

What's involved?

It's simple, from following us on social media and sharing our posts, to encouraging friends and family to attend events or embark on their own research journey.

Or if you have a bit more time, help distribute our outreach brochure and find venues willing to stock it in your local area.

Why get involved?

By becoming a Community Champion, you will be supporting our work looking after 900 years worth of Suffolk's history and being the link for others to discover their own heritage in our archive.

How to get involved?

1. Sign up or log in and accept this challenge.

2. If you don't follow us on social media already you can find our Facebook page here and Twitter feed here and accept out Facebook and Twitter challenges too.

3. Get sharing our posts - every share and retweet makes such a big difference.

4. Tell your friends and family about the work we do and the events we host.

5. Contact volunteer.archives@suffolk.gov.uk to help us distribute our brochure.
