Work on a project

Exhibition Researcher: House and Home

We are developing plans for an exhibition which will explore our sense of place and identity in Suffolk.

We will look at records and photographs relating to local buildings and architecture, examining change in community through time from the point of view of one street or address. Posing the question of what makes a home?

You could help in the early stages to shape the direction of the exhibition, and what original content we use. Starting by looking into estate plans, architect's specifications, property deeds, plans, drawings, and photographs.

This challenge could involve coming into any of the Suffolk Archive Branches (Ipswich, Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds) to access the collections, and/or could be done from home using online sources.
